Dandy Porch Club Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 10, 2026 | Effective: September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dandy Porch Club ("Dandy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information when you use dandyporch.com, build or save a planter plan, place an order, communicate with us, or receive Dandy services.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with Dandy's Terms and Conditions.
Questions about this policy may be sent to hello@dandyporch.com.
1. Who We Are
Dandy Porch Club designs, supplies, and installs seasonal live-plant arrangements in customers' existing outdoor planter containers. Our current service area includes eligible residential and business addresses in Franklin and Brentwood, Tennessee.
Dandy Porch Club is the business responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the website, determine service eligibility, prepare planter plans, take and fulfill orders, communicate with customers, and operate Dandy's business.
Service-area information. When you check whether Dandy serves your property, we collect the service address you enter and may derive or store related location information such as the town and postal code. We may keep a record of that eligibility check.
Planter and property information. When you build a plan, we may collect details about your planter containers and their setting, including container shape, inside opening, planting depth, light exposure, the area of the property where a container sits, and any label or description you provide.
Customer-uploaded photographs. You may choose to upload photographs of your containers or property to help Dandy evaluate, design, administer, and fulfill your order. Uploading photographs is optional and is not required to place an order.
Contact information. We collect your email address, and your name if you give one, when you ask us to save a plan or ask Dandy to review a container. When you place an order we collect your name, email address, and telephone number, so that Dandy can confirm your installation window, send your Care Guide, and reach you about the work at your property. We pass these details to Shopify with your order so that it can process your payment and keep the order record. Shopify may collect additional contact information during checkout according to its own checkout requirements.
Order and transaction information. We collect information about your Dandy order, including the services and selections purchased, pricing, payment status, service address, installation information, refunds or adjustments, and related order records.
Communications. We may keep communications you send to Dandy and information reasonably necessary to respond to questions, schedule service, resolve an issue, or administer an order.
Photographs taken by Dandy. Dandy or its planting partners may, at their discretion, photograph your planters, completed arrangements, and the immediate surrounding area at your property before, during, or after installation. Dandy is not required to photograph every property or installation, and photography is not a service Dandy promises to provide.
Technical information. Our website and service providers may automatically receive limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and deliver the website, such as request, device, browser, network, or security information that is ordinarily generated when using an online service.
3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect or Use for Advertising
Dandy does not intentionally collect more personal information than is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.
You can browse, check whether Dandy serves your address, and build a plan without giving your name or telephone number; both are required only when you place an order. Dandy does not receive or store your complete payment-card number from Shopify checkout.
As currently configured, Dandy does not use third-party advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral advertising trackers, or analytics services to build profiles of website visitors.
Dandy does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Dandy uses limited functional technologies that are necessary for the planning experience and saved-plan functionality to work.
Plan progress. A functional cookie or similar identifier may remember where you are in building your plan before you order or otherwise identify yourself. The application is designed to protect this information against unauthorized alteration.
Saved-plan return access. When you use a private saved-plan link, Dandy may use a cookie, token, or similar mechanism to recognize the saved plan and provide access to the information associated with it.
These technologies are used to provide requested functionality, not for targeted advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
determine whether a service address is eligible for Dandy service;
build and save planter plans;
evaluate container size, light, location, and other information relevant to a planting plan;
calculate pricing and prepare an order;
process and confirm orders and payment status;
schedule, perform, document, and support installations;
communicate about saved plans, orders, installation timing, care information, and service issues;
process refunds, adjustments, or other customer-service requests;
maintain accounting, tax, operational, and legal records;
protect the website, customers, and Dandy from fraud, misuse, security issues, or other harmful activity;
improve Dandy's operations and customer experience using information available to Dandy without using cross-site behavioral advertising profiles; and
use photographs as described in Sections 6 and 7 of this Privacy Policy.
6. Customer-Uploaded Photographs
Photographs that you upload are used as reasonably necessary to evaluate your containers and property setting, prepare your planting plan, administer the planning experience, fulfill your order, and address service questions.
Uploading a photograph does not, by itself, give Dandy permission to use that customer-uploaded photograph publicly for advertising, social media, portfolio materials, or other marketing. If Dandy wants to use a customer-uploaded photograph publicly for marketing, Dandy will obtain separate permission.
7. Photographs Taken by Dandy
Under Dandy's Terms and Conditions, by placing an order you authorize Dandy and its planting partners, at their discretion, to photograph your planters, completed arrangements, and the immediate surrounding area at your property before, during, or after installation.
Dandy may use photographs it takes for fulfillment records, quality control, training, portfolio purposes, social media, advertising, and other marketing or promotional purposes.
Dandy will use reasonable care to avoid publishing personally identifying information. We will not intentionally publish your name, street address, house number, license plate, recognizable image of you or another person, or other information that directly identifies you or your residence without separate permission. Dandy may crop, obscure, or otherwise edit photographs to preserve privacy where appropriate.
Any use of a photograph that intentionally identifies you or your residence will require separate permission.
8. How We Share Information
We use a limited number of service providers to operate Dandy. Depending on how you interact with Dandy, personal information may be processed by providers including:
Shopify — Checkout, payment processing, order and transaction records, and the customer contact details sent with an order.
Supabase — Dandy's application database and private storage of customer-uploaded photographs.
Vercel — Website and application hosting and related technical delivery or security information.
Resend — Emails related to saved plans, orders, service, and other communications sent through Dandy's systems.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their respective services to Dandy or as otherwise permitted under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
Dandy does not sell personal information. Dandy may also disclose information when required by law or as described in Section 16.
9. Payment Information
Checkout and payment processing are handled through Shopify and its payment-processing providers. Dandy does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Dandy receives transaction and order information needed to confirm payment, fulfill the order, process adjustments or refunds, and maintain business and tax records.
10. How We Protect Information
Dandy uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain.
Customer-uploaded photographs are stored privately rather than being made publicly readable through a permanent public URL. When the application displays a private photograph, it may generate a temporary signed link that expires.
Saved-plan links provide access to saved plan information. You should treat a saved-plan link as private and avoid forwarding it to someone who should not have access.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, and Dandy cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure will never occur.
11. How Long We Keep Information
Dandy keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to provide requested services, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect Dandy and its customers.
Eligibility checks and unfinished or abandoned plans may be retained while reasonably useful for operating the service, preventing abuse, understanding prior service-area decisions, or allowing a customer to return to a saved plan.
Order, payment-status, refund, accounting, and tax records may be retained for the period required or reasonably appropriate under applicable law and ordinary recordkeeping practices.
Customer-uploaded photographs and photographs taken by Dandy may be retained for the purposes for which they were collected or authorized, including fulfillment, quality records, documentation, portfolio, or permitted marketing use, subject to applicable law and any valid deletion request.
If you replace a customer-uploaded photograph in the planning experience, the application may delete the prior stored image when the replacement is saved.
Dandy may retain limited information after a deletion request when retention is reasonably necessary or legally required, including records needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or enforcement of an agreement.
12. Your Privacy Choices and Requests
You may contact Dandy at hello@dandyporch.com to ask what personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion of personal information.
We may need to verify that a request relates to you before acting on it. We will respond within a reasonable time and within any specific period required by applicable law.
Some information may not be deleted immediately or at all when Dandy is required or permitted to retain it for legal, accounting, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or other legitimate business purposes.
If a privacy law applicable to Dandy gives you additional rights, Dandy will honor those rights as required by that law.
13. Marketing Communications
Transactional communications about an order, including confirmations, scheduling, fulfillment questions, installation updates, care information, and service follow-up, are part of administering the service you requested.
Marketing communications are separate. Where consent is required, Dandy will request it separately. Marketing emails will include a way to unsubscribe when required.
Joining a service-area waitlist, requesting an eligibility review, saving a plan, or placing an order does not by itself constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing email unless the applicable form or checkout experience clearly says otherwise.
14. Children
Dandy's website and services are intended for adults arranging services at a home or business. They are not directed to children under 13, and Dandy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Dandy, please contact hello@dandyporch.com so we can review the issue and take appropriate action.
15. Third-Party Websites and Services
Dandy's website and checkout may link to or rely on services operated by third parties. Those services may collect or process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
This Privacy Policy applies to Dandy's handling of personal information. It does not control the independent privacy practices of Shopify, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, payment processors, or other third parties.
16. Business Transfers and Legal Disclosures
Dandy may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a lawful governmental request; protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Dandy, our customers, or others; investigate fraud or abuse; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If Dandy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top identifies the current published version.
If we make a material change, we will publish the revised policy before or when the change takes effect as appropriate. Changes will not retroactively change the Terms applicable to an already completed order except as permitted by law.
